Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful... (but not limited to)
Having a funny family (You should really read our emails)
For loving friends
That I have a ticket to the midnight showing to Harry potter
For being able to visit my sister, brother in law, and niece for Christmas break
For encouraging mentors in my life
That God is able to meet me exactly where I am
A great (but sometimes challenging) job
That my sister in law's pregnancy is going well (Baby Morgan I am really excited to meet you in
43 days)

Little Personal Journey

I started reading a new book today.
Dana's mom gave us both a copy of the book Waking the Dead by John Eldredge.

It's a really interesting book. I am only on the first chapter, but I would recommend you read it at some point. (At least the first 13 pages.)

I am on a little personal journey to find out what it means to truly live the life that God has planned for me. This book will be an insightful tool to figure it all out.

Stay tuned for updates on my little personal journey.

The glory of God is man fully alive.

Family Dinner

I love to cook. I love taking something plain and creating one wonderful meal. I love it so much I am even thinking about culinary school after college... just thinking about it that's all. I love seeing the expression on peoples faces after I created a wonderful meal. I am new to this whole thing, so many of the recipes are being made for the first time. Many things have been a success, but I am sure some failures are to come. The great thing is my roommates have no problems being my little lab rats and they will eat pretty much anything.

I have my parents to thank for most of these scrumptious recipes. I get my passion for cooking from them. So... THANKS MOM AND DAD!
For the main course (and only course) we had homemade Pot Roast with a side of mash potatoes and homemade gravy and a little biscuit.

(This was taken with my phone so it looks gross, but it tasted great)

I Promise I am still alive

So life has been a bit crazy lately, I am so sorry I have not been able to blog.

Well like most of you know I went to New York City to visit my sister, Ryan, and Reese. We had a great time going to the park, church, oh! and the hospital. Silly old me got kidney stones while I was there. I have to say it was the worst pain I have ever been in. Thanks to my wonderful sister I am still a live. ;)
I them came home and my parents were in San Diego for a couple of days. I got a new car! I really like it. Thanks mom and dad!
A day later I signed a 13 month lease to a new apartment!
I now only have 3 weeks left of classes, so I am swimming in homework. These are all my excuses for not blogging, but I promise I am back to stay :)

A Month Long Birthday... :D

For my birthday my friends came down to celebrate. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in down town San Diego. We ate dinner at the old spaghetti factory, played celebrity, and danced to youtube videos all night. Here are the pictures from the weekend :)
