Seattle Update

Sorry I have not blogged in a while, but I have been so busy working on the Student Leadership Conference and hanging out with four awesome kids!

Today I was sitting in Starbucks and this man was convince I was his long lost love Julie. He said he had been looking for me for 7 years. I explained to him I was not Julie, but that I was flattered by his dedication. he walked around our table a few times and continued to tell me I was so beautiful. Finally he gave up and we went our separate ways.

All in all Seattle has been very nice to me!

Last Full day In NYC

Today was a pretty mellow day. Reese and I went to a carnival down the street and then we played in a tent for the rest of the day. Here are a few pictures of our day.

Sailors, Abe, and Cupcakes

The weather was AMAZING today so we decided to spend the day outside. We walked around the oh so very cute Georgetown and did some shopping. We ate yummy burgers and had the best cupcakes I have ever had at Georgetown cupcakes. We then saw our old friend Abraham Lincoln along with every other 8th grader in the country. We decided it was the week all the 8th grades went on their trip to D.C.. All the hormonal and awkward looking kids put a bit of a damper on the amazing Lincoln memorial. But meeting my 5 new sailor boyfriends really made up for all the little smelly kids. (I guess the homeless man was right, I would find a boyfriend soon, its just going to be tough to decided which one, they are all so cute! ;) )

It would not be a typical hangout with Alanna if I didn't have a photo shoot

A Quick Trip to D.C.

Jared and Alanna came to NYC for a couple of days. I didn't get many pictures while in New York with them. But we did go to the Mets game and I got a sweet picture in front of the SHEA bridge!

Alanna and Jared moved to Virginia a year ago and I thought it was about time to go visit them. It might have been the hottest day that I have ever experienced in my life. It was 97 degrees with 100% humidity. As soon as we got into D.C. we went to the movies because we were melting. After the movie it started to rain/hail and we forgot out umbrellas, so we sat under someones front door while we waited for the rain to stop. We were joined by a homeless man who told us we had bedroom eyes (not really sure what that means) and that I would soon have a boyfriend (I really doubt that, but thanks homeless man). Then we ate at "We the Pizza" where my favorite blogger loves to eat.

Not only is it so great hanging out with Alanna but she also is a photographer so I get sweet pictures. All these pictures were taken by her.

I finally got to go to the famous Cracker Barrel
We went to a famous battle field where the first major battle of the civil war was fought.

It's a Jungle Out There!

Some how as we are walking around downtown my mom convinces me to put a snake around my neck. I am really afraid of snakes, every thing about them creeps me out. I said yes because I thought she was kidding, the next thing I know I'm in front of 50 people holding a snake... here are the unforgettable pictures.
I really don't want to do this.. but some how I am convinced to put a snake around my neck
This is the look of pure fear
Trying to relax...
I have no clue whats happening in this picture.. Should I be more afraid of the man with his hands around my neck or the snake??

Getting more comfortable...
"Alright, I think I got this down..."
"HELL NO I AM NOT PUTTING TWO SNAKES ON ME!!!"
Trying to smile... It's not working very well
I just can't handle two snakes
He thought it would be a good idea to strangle me with the snake one last time before I left:\
It's finally all over with! YAY for concurring my fears!
