Food Trucks

Brittany has been telling me of these amazing food trucks... well since I can remember. They run during the summer and only on the weekends. So with this being my last summer trip to NYC until next year we had to go. Like most things (but not all) Brittany was right. The food was delicious! Here are some pictures!

Coney Island and a Perfect Summer Night

Today was another great day in Brooklyn. In the morning we headed to Coney Island to see the sights. It was cool, but we went a little to early. I recommend going after 12 if your going to park, but go early if you want a good spot at the beach. For dinner we had one amazing feast! Ryan brought out the grill and I made one of the things on my cooking wish list. It was a perfect summer night!

If you can zoom in... its my future husband isn't he cute??

Pizza Lovers!

As most of you know I love coming to NYC not only to hang out with my family, but because of the great food it has to offer. Tonight Brittany and Ryan took me to a pizza place called Giguseppina's. I know I say this a lot, but I think its the best pizza I have ever had (yes, even better then any pizza I ate while living in Italy) Now your probably wondering what makes this place so great? Well the first reason actually has nothing to do with the pizza, but with the owner and his family. Giguseppina's is the sister restaurant of a place called Lucali. People like Beyonce and Jay-Z get pizza here all the time. Since Lucali is so popular, one of the brothers of this family decided to open Giguseppina's. The best part about this family... They are apart of the mob. Yep, I have proof, the owner of Lucali was just arrested for attempted murder... click here to read more.

So, back to the pizza... there is one pizza man who makes all the pizza. He works on his pizzas in the center of the restaurant while everyone just sits and watches. All the ingredients are shipped fresh from Italy and are made on a brick oven. Gosh it was a great experience. Everyone should try it if your ever in Brooklyn.

Simple but delicious!

Leaving hawaii

The last couple hours in Hawaii were uneventful, minus the amazing hawaiian food we had and the shave ice we got with extra condensed milk! It might have been one of my favorite meals. After that we got on our flight. Surprise surprise, Reese fell a sleep the last 10 mins of the flight. Here are some of the last pictures from hawaii.

All our bags
She was really mad that I was taking her pictures. she looks so tired

Planes and Friends

Well the last 48 hours have been crazy! It includes 3 flights, lots of really short naps, and one great friend reunion. We made it safely to New York City and now our main focus is getting on NY time. This 6 hour difference is kicking my butt. Here are a few pictures from the past two days.
I really like these people
Meet Trunkie. The Best kid suitcase ever. Its hilarious, Reese sits on top while I pull her through the airport. She was waving and smiling at everyone. Good news is she only fell on her face 2 times.
This is for my dear friend Ange

Last Full Day In Hawaii

Today was our last full day in hawaii and we spent it doing what I do best, relaxing and taking naps. We went to a kiddie beach in the morning and Reese loved "surfing" in the water. For lunch we did what all hawaiians do... had some shaved iced with frozen yogurt and condensed milk..mmm mmm good! Ryan and Brittany were so gracious to let me join them on their date night. The restaurant was awesome. People say its Kona's best kept secret so in honor of the locals I can't tell you where I ate. But trust me it was goooood!

I think its love... :)

The best shaved ice ever
Farmers market where we bought a 10 dollar pineapple

We are taking a redeye home tomorrow night... so prayers would be grateful. Three little ones on a night flight could be potentially horrible! I'll be home for 48 hours and then I head to NYC!

Zodiac Sanden Style

Today the "big kids" went on a zodiac boat tour of Kona/Captain Cook's Cove. Our tour guides were awesome, there moto was, "what happens in Kona, stays in Kona". So they let us do a few things that were against the rules, which included cliff jumping and riding on the front of the boat (Drew and I were the only two brave enough to do both). Highlight of the trip was seeing whales and dolphins. We then headed to our friends house where we swam and ate yummy food once again. Have I mentioned that I love Hawaii!
Baha the captan just kept spraying Allison in the face

Don't mind the very creepy look I am giving and the mullet that I'm rocking. Take in the sister bonding moment and the awesome blue water

Whales!!

Now I'm totally afraid of heights, but when is the next time I will be able to cliff jump in Hawaii..maybe never. It took a bit of coaching from the 50 people watching me, but I finally did it! Glad I did it, but I won't do it again.
Nothing like an afternoon of Segwaying to complete yet another perfect day

Here is the house that I would literally die for. is it not amazing?
We then ended the night around the camp fire eating s'mores
