Central Park Day!!

Todays agenda consisted of a trip to central park, a stress test, and homemade pizza! Have I ever mentioned central park man?? Well a few of my friends and I made up my perfect man and his name is Central Park Man. Good news is I found him... but instead of Central Park Man we call him bubble man. But here's the sad news... I think he fell in love with little Reese. As you can see from the pictures bellow they "hit it out of the park". I'm okay with it though, bubbles aren't really my thing.

Meet the Dakota. Why is the Dakota famous you ask?? Well this is where John Lennon was murdered. The building is across the street from Central Park where Strawberry Fields is. Strawberry Fields was dedicated to the singer after his song... (yep you guessed it)... "Strawberry Fields Forever". Its a beautiful part of Central Park. Below is a picture of the memorial.

Shaken Taste Buds

Alright all you burger lovers get ready to have your taste buds shaken. Shake Shack might be my favorite burger place on the planet. They have an AMAZING, MOUTH WATERING shroom burger thats to die for! Shake Shack also has awesome frozen custards. If your ever in Manhattan this is a must on the to do list. They have become very popular in the last couple of years so there are a couple in the city. BUT I think the best one is in Madison Square Park. Its beautiful at night as you can see from the pictures but its also a great mix of tourist and locals. Yes, the line is longer at this one (roughly 30 mins + a 15 min waiting time) but its worth it and you can accomplish another must on the to do list... people watching in NYC. Click here if your interested in finding out more.
I love this building. It was originally called the Fuller building but everyone calls it the Flatiron building now a days. Did you know that it was one of the first skyscrapers in New York City. It was built in 1902 by George A. Fuller. People were skeptical of the Fuller building at first, they thought it would fall over! Good old George proved them wrong, as you can see its still standing 109 years later!

The Brooklyn Bridge Park

Well it finally stopped raining for a little bit this morning so we went to the Brooklyn bridge park today. The park includes 6 piers, but only 2 of the piers are done, pier 1 and 6. The rest of the piers should be done in 2013. Once complete its going to be a kid heaven. There will be a 2 story slide, a water play area in the summer, "swing valley", a carousel, and over 12 acres of rolling laws for little reesie to run around in. If your interested to learn more about this awesome park just click here.

Baby Watch 2011!

Gosh I have so much to blog about, but trying to keep up with a two year old and a prego lady makes me to tired to blog... but I will do my best and give you a little recap of the last couple of days.

We are still on baby watch 2011. I really hope she comes before I leave!

Reesie is a little goober. She is talking a lot. Most of the time you have to guess what she is saying, but none the less shes talking. She will eat anything you put in front of her, she really likes to color, and loves to see nanny (my mom).

Funny story time: Today I was holding reese while we walked down a very busy street, when all of a sudden a little ghost kicked me off my feet and I feel to the ground. Reese and I landed on the ground and tumbled into a fence. If I was her I would have cried, but she just said UH OH! and continued down the street.

Thats the 10 min version of my trip so far... hopefully I will find some energy and tell you more later.

WELL I am going to be an aunt again! Brittany is due any day now. so I am going to join my mom in Brooklyn as we wait for that little baby to come. In the mean time I will be running around Brooklyn trying to keep up with little Reese (who is really not that little anymore). To the Mothers in my Life

This blog post goes out to all the mothers in my life. These four women are such a blessing in my life. They have all shown me how to love, care, and cherish the people around me. They are all great examples of what motherhood should be. I hope that one day (not anytime soon!!) I too can be a loving mother like them. Thank you for all you do in my life and in the lives of your children! LOVE YOU!

Special thanks go out to my mom! Thank you for always listening to my stories, loving me through all my ups and downs, and being my best friend! Love you mom!
