It's a Jungle Out There!

Some how as we are walking around downtown my mom convinces me to put a snake around my neck. I am really afraid of snakes, every thing about them creeps me out. I said yes because I thought she was kidding, the next thing I know I'm in front of 50 people holding a snake... here are the unforgettable pictures.
I really don't want to do this.. but some how I am convinced to put a snake around my neck
This is the look of pure fear
Trying to relax...
I have no clue whats happening in this picture.. Should I be more afraid of the man with his hands around my neck or the snake??

Getting more comfortable...
"Alright, I think I got this down..."
"HELL NO I AM NOT PUTTING TWO SNAKES ON ME!!!"
Trying to smile... It's not working very well
I just can't handle two snakes
He thought it would be a good idea to strangle me with the snake one last time before I left:\
It's finally all over with! YAY for concurring my fears!

Lady Liberty

We were total tourist today and I loved every minute of it!

My Dad, Mom, and I had never been to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island before so it was a must see for our trip. We spent most of our time touring around Ellis Island. It was really interesting to see what my great great grand parents had to go through just to get to America. It was also great to be able to experience it with my parents.

Here are a few pictures from our day.

Anna Pauline Holladay

I would now like to formally introduce Anna Pauline Holladay! She was named after both of my great grandmothers. Anna from my Mom's side and Pauline is from my Dad's side. We spent our day hang at the hospital. Reese and Anna were finally able to meet and they got along great! Every time Anna moved Reese started screaming with excitement! We then had a celebration dinner minus Brittany and Anna (they are still in the hospital till tomorrow morning). To top off another great day we had a beautiful walk home. Here are some pictures from our day.

Introducing...

We are calling her the unnamed child. Yep thats right she still does not have a name. I am really hoping we will find out tomorrow.

Baby Holladay was born at 2:30 on May 26, 2011. She weighed in at 8 pounds 13 ounces and is 21 inches long. She looks like no one on Brittany or Ryan's side, BUT she does have my eyebrows. She is covered in hair from head to toe and everywhere in between. I'm in love :)

Brittany is doing really good. Labor ended up moving a lot faster than she had expected and was not able to get an epideral. OUCH! The baby was also had a posterior birth, which means instead of coming out face up she came out face down. This can cause a longer labor and more pain.OUCH! But now mommy and baby are doing great and are in the hospital resting!

Tomorrow Reesie gets to meet her sister!

Best Buds

Today we headed to downtown Manhattan and did some shopping and sight seeing around Pier 17. I purchased a few new shirts at The GAP and found a great place to take pictures. It was another hot day, but this time we came a bit more prepared... physically and mentally. All in all it was a great day. Here are a few pictures.. Hope you enjoy!

Here is the new, not yet finished, Freedom Tower. The Freedom tower is being built where the Twin Towers once stood. The skyscraper will tower 82 stories and is scheduled to be done in 2018.There will be many more buildings built on the premises, along with a memorial where guest can view the last remains of the Twin Towers.

Prospect Park Zoo

We went to the Prospect Park Zoo today. Little did we know that every school in Brooklyn would have the same idea. It was so hot today, it was somewhere in the 80s with a 100% humidity. The three of us didn't last long at the zoo, do to the heat and Reese's excessive need to eat. It was loads of fun to watch Reese look at all the animals. Here are a few pictures.. look at the excitement on her face! She loved it!

The Prospect Park Zoo
Does it not look like the zoo from Curious George??
Reese's favorite animal at the zoo: Lama
Sorry Birtt for the Belly shot, but looks at Reese's face. Pure excitement over seeing the lamas
We saw some fish
Played in some egg shells
We also pretended to be spiders!

Her favorite part of the day was snack time
