The Never Ending Christmas...

I LOVE Christmas as most of you know. I have always been one to say, "I wish Christmas was everyday of the year". So I never thought I would say this but I am ready for Christmas to be over.

I flew with Birtt, Ryan, and Reese from NYC to CA on Christmas eve. It would have been an easy flight but Reese decided to barfed everywhere and did not want to sleep. After a long flight I finally got in bed at 3:00 a.m. and with the time difference my body thought it was 6 a.m.! I woke up on Christmas with the flu (which I still have) and slept the whole day. Since I was sick and Britt, Ryan, and Reese were so tired we decided to do christmas on the 26. (sad, but understandable) We all woke up on the 26 and had the traditional christmas brunch. We were just about to sit down and open presents, when my sister in law went into labor. We all rushed out the door and headed to the Hospital! Little baby Morgan Grace Sanden was born at 2:30, she was 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 19 inches long! Since we spent all day in the hospital we decided to do Christmas on the 27. SO today we woke and had brunch all over again and then finally opened presents! Thanks Santa for the new MacBook Pro! I love it soo soo much!
Well with all that being said I don't think I could handle another day of Christmas...

Sick...

Today was my last full day in NYC and I was sick. I was going to go visit my friend Cara, but instead I slept on the couch all day. I really hope I am feeling better tomorrow. Being sick on a plane sucks.

See you tomorrow California and happy Christmas eve eve!

Miracle on 34th Street...

Even thought it was a low of 35 degrees with a wind chill, we did some sight seeing in Manhattan. We went to Macys and Reese got to meet Santa for the first time. It was so funny watching her, she just kept saying WOW the whole time. It was a really cool experience to meet santa at Macys, everyone should do it at least once. (sorry I did not get any pics of santa and I). Everything was decorated so beautifully, it made me love Christmas time even more than I already do. We also went to one of my favorite burger places in the world! (YES!, it might even beat in-n-out!) Its called the ShakeShake and they have a Shroom burger thats to die for! (This is also another thing you should do once or even a million times in your life)

Here Are A Few More...

Well I made it to New York

Reese and I have been playing soooo much, every time I try to sit down she pushes me to keep playing. (Lets just say Grandma might be jealous) Here is a video of reese playing. Sometimes she likes to pretend she is blind and tries to walk around the room. Its really funny.

I am having a great time hanging out with Ryan, Brittany, and Reese. Our past couple of days have consisted of the gym, going to the store, church, and of course eating really yummy food!

hopefully I will have some new pictures up in the next couple of days.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful... (this is not in order of importance :) )

1. For the great teachers that I have.
They are all so helpful and passionate about what they do.
2. That Christmas break is only 1 week away
3. That I am going to be an aunt again in 3 short weeks
4. Again... My lovely roommates.
They have been my rock these past few months. I don't know what I would do without them.
5. For grace
I know its hard to believe... but I am not a perfect person :P. I am thankful that even when I screw up, my God is gracious to me.
6. That I get to be in New York City in one week and it will be snowing.. ( I might not be thankful for this when all my toes are frozen)

Merry Christmas From Mariners Cove!

I just have to say I love my roomies. They are amazing and make me laugh all the time. We had family dinner on Thursday (great job EJ, dinner was great). Then we went and picked out a tree for our home:) We might have picked out the biggest tree in the lot, but that's okay it was only 25 dollars! It was a great night filled with many new Christmas Memories. Special thanks go out to Brock. We wouldn't have been able to get our tree from home depot to our living room without you. So thank you for your help Brock.

On the First day of Christmas...

I went golfing and looked at christmas lights!
Lets just say I might never be invited to go golfing again... I suck at it. It is not my sport... I hit 3 balls in 45 mins. In my defense it was dark out so it was hard to see the ball. We then went and looked at Christmas lights :) It was beautiful. I love Christmas time and anything that has to do with Christmas.

Still in the same place..

Check Turkey off my list

I made my very first turkey this year! Special thanks goes out to my wonderful parents who were the sue chefs. Along with all the wonderful guests who adventured out and ate my bird. Thank you.
The bird
I found some presents inside (heart, liver, and some other things)
Detaching the skin from the meat
Making the season to put in the turkey
This is where Dad stepped in...(I may or may not have been a little mad)
The finished seasoning
Stuffing the bird (yes I was able to wear sweet gloves)
Adding the chicken broth (please shield your eyes from the broken skin, I fixed it later)
More stuffing
In the oven it goes
IT'S FINISHED!
I even carved the bird!
