Quick Trip To NYC

Though my trip to New York was short (35 hours) I managed to take a few pictures. The flight back was great. Reese did really really well. When we got off the plane she looked at me and said, "well that was fun auntie Shea". I wouldn't describe it as fun, but not as bad as flights we have had in the past with little miss Reesie.

Last Days in Brooklyn

I'm already back from Brooklyn, but I have been too busy to blog about the last couple of days there. So here are a few pictures:
Marlow and Sons

Alright people, if you don't know about Peter Luger then its about time you do. It's a restaurant in Brooklyn and has been around since 1887. It's been voted best porterhouse steak in NYC for over 27 years. The steak is a bit pricey and they only take cash and of course the Peter Luger credit card. We went for lunch and ordered some burgers. The burger was delicious, but make sure you order bacon on it.

Reese was in LOVE with this truck. I think we sat there for 10 minutes watching it go back and forth.

Best lunch ever

Little life update: I have already moved back to San Diego, started to decorate my room, and am back to nannying. It's going to be a great year and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Food Trucks

Brittany has been telling me of these amazing food trucks... well since I can remember. They run during the summer and only on the weekends. So with this being my last summer trip to NYC until next year we had to go. Like most things (but not all) Brittany was right. The food was delicious! Here are some pictures!

Coney Island and a Perfect Summer Night

Today was another great day in Brooklyn. In the morning we headed to Coney Island to see the sights. It was cool, but we went a little to early. I recommend going after 12 if your going to park, but go early if you want a good spot at the beach. For dinner we had one amazing feast! Ryan brought out the grill and I made one of the things on my cooking wish list. It was a perfect summer night!

If you can zoom in... its my future husband isn't he cute??

She has the funniest run

Pizza Lovers!

As most of you know I love coming to NYC not only to hang out with my family, but because of the great food it has to offer. Tonight Brittany and Ryan took me to a pizza place called Giguseppina's. I know I say this a lot, but I think its the best pizza I have ever had (yes, even better then any pizza I ate while living in Italy) Now your probably wondering what makes this place so great? Well the first reason actually has nothing to do with the pizza, but with the owner and his family. Giguseppina's is the sister restaurant of a place called Lucali. People like Beyonce and Jay-Z get pizza here all the time. Since Lucali is so popular, one of the brothers of this family decided to open Giguseppina's. The best part about this family... They are apart of the mob. Yep, I have proof, the owner of Lucali was just arrested for attempted murder... click here to read more.

So, back to the pizza... there is one pizza man who makes all the pizza. He works on his pizzas in the center of the restaurant while everyone just sits and watches. All the ingredients are shipped fresh from Italy and are made on a brick oven. Gosh it was a great experience. Everyone should try it if your ever in Brooklyn.

Simple but delicious!

The pizza man is the guy in the middle

It's cash only so don't forget to stop at the bank!

Last Full day In NYC

Today was a pretty mellow day. Reese and I went to a carnival down the street and then we played in a tent for the rest of the day. Here are a few pictures of our day.

It's a Jungle Out There!

Some how as we are walking around downtown my mom convinces me to put a snake around my neck. I am really afraid of snakes, every thing about them creeps me out. I said yes because I thought she was kidding, the next thing I know I'm in front of 50 people holding a snake... here are the unforgettable pictures.
I really don't want to do this.. but some how I am convinced to put a snake around my neck
This is the look of pure fear
Trying to relax...
I have no clue whats happening in this picture.. Should I be more afraid of the man with his hands around my neck or the snake??

Getting more comfortable...
"Alright, I think I got this down..."
"HELL NO I AM NOT PUTTING TWO SNAKES ON ME!!!"
Trying to smile... It's not working very well
I just can't handle two snakes
He thought it would be a good idea to strangle me with the snake one last time before I left:\
It's finally all over with! YAY for concurring my fears!
